Congratulations to 2-6-KA BBQ on their Grand Champion win at the Black BBQ Cook Off in Fayetteville, NC. This was the third year for this event and the first time it was sanctioned by Southern BBQ Network. The event consisted of Ribs, Chicken and Brisket. Many thanks to the Contest Representative, Bruce Yeomans, hospitality during our visit. Congratulations to all of the other teams that got a walk on Saturday. DOKO Rib Fest was held on March 9, 2024 in Blythewood, SC. This was a rib only event with competitors in three categories. There was a total of 50 cook teams competing in categories consisting of Amateurs, Veterans and Professionals. THe Vicious Pig Annual BBQ Throwdown was held November 11th 2023 in Stedman NC and consisted of a 2 meat Pork Shoulder & Pork Ribs Contest with a Friday Night Wing Challenge.

The SBN Invitational, presented by the Moncks Corner Lions Club and Southern BBQ Network, was held on November 4 2023 with over $7000.00 in prizes and trophies awarded in the categories of pork shoulder, chicken, pork ribs, beef brisket and kidz que. Congratulations to Bobby Brinson with Vicious Pig BBQ on his Grand CHampionship win and the awarding of the new trophy "The Mary" dedicated to the memory of Mary Waiboer.  On October 28 2023 The SOns of the American Legion held its annual BBQ cook off consisting of three categories, Pork Shoulder, Pork Ribs, and Chicken. Congratulations to Bayou BBQ on their Grand Championship win. Complete scores can be found HERE. On October 21st 2023 the City of Abbeville hosted its annual Hogs and Hens BBQ Festival. THis was a 4 meat contest consisting of Pork Shoulder, Pork Ribs, Beef Brisket, Chicken, and Hash. Congratulations to Butts R Us for their Grand Champion Win. Contest results can be found HERE  Smoke on the Waccamaw contest was held in Conway SC on 10/14/23 to benefit the Shriners Childrens Hospital. The BBQ Contest consisted of prizes and trophies awarded in the categories of Pork shoulder, Whole Hog and pork ribs. Backdraft BBQ was named Grand Champion of the event.  The Beer Brunch and BBQ contest was held on James Island to benefit the James Island Outreach program on October 7th, 2023. The BBQ Contest consisted of prizes and trophies awarded in the categories of pork, chicken, pork ribs. Ultimate Tailgaters Cook Team was named Grand Champion of the event. The First Annual Bessemer City Brew and Cue to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation was held September 22-23, 2023. The BBQ Contest consisted of prizes and trophies awarded in the categories of pork, chicken, pork ribs. Ultimate Tailgaters Cook Team was named Grand Champion of the event. The 24th Annual Uniquely Union Festival, presented by the Uniquely Union Board was held September 15-16, 2023. The festival once again was held in beautiful and historic downtown Union. The BBQ Contest consisted of over $7000.00 in prizes and trophies awarded in the categories of pork, chicken, pork ribs, anything butt (savory & sweet) and kidz que.
